Miss Virginia Goes Bald for Charity

ARLINGTON, Va. - A Virginia beauty queen is going bald for a great cause. Miss Virginia 2008, Tara Wheeler, shaved her head Monday night to help raise money for kids who suffer from cancer.

The event took place in Arlington, and it was put on by St. Baldrick's, an organization which raises money for childhood cancer research.

There were some tears for Wheeler during the emotional moment, but she said they were tears of excitement for what she was doing. Wheeler has long been planning the moment and fundraising along the way.
